The last week has been amazing with the boys. They both have managed to stay healthy and Drew's counts were even high enough to send him back to daycare. So far, this round has been much easier on Drew in comparison to the rounds in the past. Heidi and I were even getting a little nervous, wondering if the drugs were doing their magic. Then we were reassured because Drew's hair started to fall out. It started about 5 days ago and everyday thereafter more came out to the point that it started to coming out in clumps. We decided that it was time to shave his head. So we were off to the Sportsmen's to see Ray the barber. Little did Drew know that it would be his last hair cut for awhile.
Up until this point, you wouldn't have known by looking at Drew that he has cancer, now there's no mystery behind the kid with glasses. I'm sure that we'll see a few sympathy stares but what people don't realize is that we look at it as a good thing, a sign of progress towards being cancer free.
He already has a collection of hats, the Twins, the Gophers.......and he loves wearing them. He better, after all he's in a baseball family, so he's got no choice but to love it!
Thanks for all your love and support, we'll update you with any news!
