Minor Set Back

Drew and Heidi are back in the hospital tonight. 6 PM hit and unfortunately Drew would not drink anything. I think he might get that stubborn streak from his mother :-). The doctors wanted to get him back on the IV's for hydration and give him a more powerful dose of antibiotics for that ear infection. We're hopeful Drew will start drinking again tomorrow so they'll release him and we can have a few days of normal family life.

I have to admit, things have been hectic but I can't say enough about my family. Drew, is such a strong and courageous little boy to put up with all of this (what else can you say). Jack has been such a trooper. For the past two weeks he hasn't had a normal day but he manages to keep that wonderful smile and goes on playing. Last but not least, Heidi, I can't say enough about her. She has practically lived up at that hospital with Drew. It's not easy watching those doctors/nurses tie down your 10 mos. old to stick him with a needle in the chest. Not to mention the sleepless nights that goes along with a hospital stay. Every 2 hours a nurse comes in and has to check vital signs & change Drew's diaper so he doesn't get a chemical burn from the chemo. Even though she is severely sleep deprived she has the tenacity, strength & perseverance to be the rock for this family. Without those traits I don't know where we would be. All I can say is that I am SO PROUD OF ALL OF THEM and LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

We're excited to get Drew home again soon. Thanks for all your love and support on this journey, its greatly appreciated!
