Drew is back in the hospital again tonight. He had only took 8 oz since last night at 7:30 pm. The oncologist wanted to admit him to give him pain medication and fluids. The doctors think he is reacting to the Vincristine again, which means he is having bone pain. This drug causes jaw pain, which makes it difficult for him to suck on a bottle. They gave him morphine and he took 5 1/2 oz at one time. This was a big successful for him. He has had another 4 oz this evening. If he continues to eat on the pain medication he can come home tomorrow. They will prescribe a heavy pain killer to get him through these initial days of the Vincristine. Please keep him in your prayers the next couple of days. He could use each and every one of them.
We are glad to see this year go. 2007 will be a year of healing and happiness for our family. It will be a year of celebration, and a year we will never forgot. We will always remember it as the year Drew got better and the year we resumed a normal family year. We are happy to put 2006 and all its sadness behind us. It is a new year, an opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. There will only be good things to come in 2007. Happy New Year everyone.

The good news is that they are getting the drugs figured out so with each chemo treatment life becoes a little easier. He will hopefully be home and not in the hospital as much. That's a big step.
The new year will be better. 2007 will keep bringing GREAT results from the chemo. Pretty soon it will all be behind you and Drew will be a healthy boy. The marathon has started and you are well into the race.
Happy New Year to you Baby Drew, Jack, Heidi and Tony
