It All Starts Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a big day for our family, Drew starts chemo again. While we are not looking forward to the difficult months ahead, we firmly believe that tomorrow is the beginning of the end of this horrible journey. Here is his schedule of events for tomorrow;
  • Arrive at 9AM
  • MRI at 11 AM, to double check that no spreading has occurred (no signs that it has)
  • Eye Exam at 12 PM with laser or freezing
  • Port placement around 1 PM
  • Two ear tubes about 2 PM
  • Chemo therapy around 7 PM (he'll be released on Sunday)

Many have asked what they can do and all we ask is that you continue doing what you have been. We all feel bad for Drew but Jack needs extra prayers as well. He has a hard time understanding why his brother can't leave the house to play, why Drew is tired all the time, why Drew is loosing his hair, why Drew has to get blood drawn two to three times a week, why both Mom and Dad aren't home to put him to bed, why he wakes up and finds Mom and Dad gone and Grandma/Papa watching him, etc.......It's just as hard for Heidi and I to see the impacts on Jack as it is to see Drew go through his procedures.

Thanks a million for all your love, support, prayers, flowers, replies on the blog & cards, they all mean the world to us.

Tony, Heidi, Jack and Drew

Hello Tony and Heidi, Drew and Jack. We will be thinking and praying for you guys. We have faith Drew will do great. What a great life lesson for Jack, to watch how your family comes together during hard times. Why the ear tubes? To decrease risk of ear infections while on chemo?--Ann Marie and Mike Strong
