Big Month for Drew

Friday Drew will go in for his second round of chemo, and we will see how things are working. This will be an indication of how many rounds we will do. Cross your fingers that we get good results and things go as smooth as the first round.

Next week Drew will become a news celebrity. Thanks to everyone's wonderful support and willingness to lace up and run/walk in the Time to Fly, we are the largest family/community fundraising team. We currently have 45 people walking/running in his honor and an additional 23 spirit runners. This is amazing!!! Because of this, they have asked our family to appear on the news on June 19th and 20th. On Thursday (the 19th) the Director will be there to do a 30 second plug for the Time to Fly and Tony, Jack, Drew and I will be there waving in the background. On Friday morning at 9:30 (the 20th), we will be part of the Showcase Minnesota. They will interview us for 3-5 minutes about Drew's fight and our fundraising for the Children's Cancer Research. Please tune in to Kare 11 to see his first TV appearance.

On June 28th, We will participate in the Time to Fly. Drew is signed up to run the Kid's Fun Run, and we are hoping he is healthy enough to be there. He may need a little extra cheering to get across the finish line since he will only be two weeks out from chemo. Please feel free to come watch him cross the finish line at 10:30. We will update the blog if he can't make it.

On other notes, if you are planning to participate or be a spirit runner/walker remember to sign up prior to June 26th. We will update the blog with more details about meeting places etc for the Time to Fly as we get closer.
