It was too good to be true.

Heidi, Jack and I were happy to have Drew home yesterday to celebrate his 1st birthday but unfortunately he went back to the hospital today. Early this morning Drew started to refuse drinking and developed a bad case of diarrhea (by 6 PM tonight, Drew had only consumed about 7 ounces of fluid since 8 PM last night). We contacted the doctor's line and they wanted us bring him in about 11 am. When we went to change his diaper about 9, Drew developed a horrible rash all over his stomach, back, legs and arms. The Doctors wanted him brought in right away since his cell counts are at their lowest. I brought him in and they accessed his port. They have taken labs to determine the virus and/or bacteria infection that Drew has. Drew must spend at least the next two nights in lock down (for the safety of the other patients) until they isolate the infection. In the mean time, the doctors have started IV fluids and antibiotics. Please keep Drew in your prayers and we'll update you more in the coming days.
