Round Three - The Low Point

Drew is doing farely well this round, however, he is now reaching his low point. Counts have dropped drastically and he is close to being neutrapentic. This is when his white counts are too low, and there is a high risk of infection. His red counts are close to bottoming out, so tomorrow he will get another blood tranfusion. The process is not painful, just a lot of patience is needed. Something an almost one year old does not have. The good news - After the transfusion he is like a different kid. Right now he is sleeping abour 20 hours a day. After the transfusion, he will be full of energy and crawling all over. Since this is the third transfusion and he starting to form patterns, they will automatically schedule one for round four. He is a tough little boy, and will get through this. There are brighter days to come:)
